    Required ingredients for quantum biology

    August, 4th 2023

After a series of lectures about potential evidences of quantum phenomena in biology, guests at the Quantum Bio BR Summit, held on November 21, 2022, in Rio de Janeiro, spoke about the elements necessary for quantum biology. Check here the videos with each of the lectures.

Physicist Marcos Cesar Oliveira, professor at Unicamp’s Gleb Wataghin Institute of Physics, who was a visiting professor at the Institute for Quantum Information Science, spoke about the perspectives of avian magnetoreception.

An analysis of the structure and functioning of the cryptochrome quantum sensor was conducted by Daniel Kattnig, professor at the Institute for Living Systems at the University of Exeter.

Master and PHD in inorganic chemistry from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) Pierre Fechine presented chemical sensing on carbon quantum dots.
