Ph.D. in human and experimental pathology from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) in a broad collaboration with Fiocruz, a master’s degree in biochemistry from the Université d’Abomey-Calavi (Benin), and a specialization in epidemiology applied to SUS Services from the Fiocruz School of Government. Her research in molecular biology focuses on understanding the needs of SUS (Brazilian Public Health System). She is currently working on cell therapy and gene editing (CRISPR), with a focus on developing new therapies for sickle cell anemia and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
