About the School
Pioneer Science recognizes quantum biology as a cutting-edge field with the potential to revolutionize medical science.
This intensive training aims to inspire the next generation of researchers to explore the intersection of quantum mechanics and biology. The program seeks to advance research, cultivate expertise, and foster partnerships.
Format
This immersive five-day event in Paraty includes five intensive four-hour courses for 20 hours of expert instruction.
The School also includes two-hour international seminars and a poster session with IX Quantum Information Workshop participants, fostering a dynamic exchange between established experts and emerging researchers.
Transportation and Accommodation
The program will cover the selected participants’ transportation to and from São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. Shared accommodation (double occupancy) will also be provided during the boot camp.
Program
The Quantum Biology School will equip students with the theoretical, experimental, and computational tools needed to explore the world of quantum biology. This comprehensive curriculum will enable participants to unravel the mysteries of biological processes through the lens of quantum mechanics, driving research and innovation in this revolutionary field.
There will be five courses taught by professors who are leaders in their fields:
Unraveling What Quantum Biology Is: Clarice Aiello
From Classical to Quantum: A Journey through the Foundations: Marcelo Terra Cunha
Exploring Life: Principles of Cell and Molecular Biology: Marucia Chacur
Quantum Sensors and Their Applications in the Life Sciences: Luiz Davidovich
The Secret Life of Molecules: Computer Simulations and Quantum Modeling: Pedro Pascutti
International speakers
Peter Hore (University of Oxford)
Clarice Aiello (UCLA)
Fabrisia Ambrosio (Harvard Medical School)
