Open Calls

Through its support of frontier science, Pioneer Science seeks to identify outstanding researchers working in molecular and cellular biology, the physics and mathematics of biology, or neuroscience and cognition.

Discretionary Projects

Pioneer Science supports specific projects that engage with the fields of biology, physics, or neuroscience, developed in its own laboratories or in partner institutions. These projects are supported through grants for researchers and the purchase of supplies for research activities.

Advanced Training

For Pioneer Science, a scientific career grows stronger when researchers gain international experience and return to Brazil with new perspectives, techniques, and methods for conducting their research. Through its Advanced Training program, Pioneer Science places researchers in one of its partner institutions.

Supported Researchers

Meet researchers from IDOR and other science and technology institutions who collaborate on Pioneer Science projects.

Science Education

Expanding access to science is central to developing new talent and to citizenship education. In this context, Pioneer Science works to create opportunities for low-income young people to pursue academic and professional studies in different areas of fundamental science and health. Supporting students and training public school teachers, in partnership with expert institutions, also contributes to strengthening scientific literacy and the scientific method as an essential learning tool.

Partners
