SUBMISSIONS CLOSED
On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, Pioneer Science launched its first public call: Pioneer Science — Early Career Scholars. Aimed at young scientists from across Brazil, the call will support up to 15 researchers in the early stages of their independent careers with R$ 160,000 per year over three years.
Eligible scientists are those who completed their PhD up to ten years ago (or twelve, in the case of women with children) and who hold a formal employment or functional relationship with a university, institute, or research entity — public or private — based in Brazil.
The call seeks original and innovative projects (with disruptive potential) at the interface between the health, biomedical, and exact sciences. Proposals must fit into one or more of Pioneer Science’s three focus areas: molecular and cellular biology, physics and mathematics of biology, and neuroscience and cognition.
