This Sunday, the 14th, Pioneer Science launches the Pioneer Seeds call with the aim of fostering unprecedented and bold collaborations among researchers supported by the initiative, stimulating high-risk, high-impact ideas.
The Pioneer Seeds call will support innovative proposals with a financial contribution of R$180,000 over a period of 2 years. Through an initial seed funding mechanism, it aims to stimulate new questions, bold approaches, and high-risk explorations capable of generating transformative advances in science.
About the Call:
Eligible are proposals for innovative and bold research at the interface between health sciences, biomedical sciences, and exact sciences, and in one or more of the three areas of interest: molecular and cellular biology, physics and mathematics of biology, and neuroscience and cognition.
Interdisciplinary proposals that explore emerging frontiers between areas are strongly encouraged.
Who can participate:
▪️To be eligible, one must be a grantee and/or lead researcher of projects supported by Pioneer Science.
▪️Proposals submitted by 2 or 3 proponents.
▪️The submitted proposals must be distinct from the projects supported by Pioneer Science for each researcher individually.
▪️At least two members must come from distinct Pioneer Science projects.
▪️Each researcher can participate in only one proposal.
How the selection will be made:
Candidates must submit proposals in accordance with the guidelines of this call. All eligible proposals will proceed to the evaluation stage by the executive committee of Pioneer Science.
