Immersive event takes place in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, with participation from Brazilian and foreign scientists from various disciplines
Between August 11 and 15, 2025, Pioneer Science will hold the first edition of the Quantum Biology School. The event will take place in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, and is supported by the Carlos Chagas Filho Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ).
The meeting consists of an intensive one-week course. The goal is to train exceptional undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students to apply the principles of quantum mechanics to biological systems.
The School also promotes the sharing of experiences among participants, researchers, and professors. Thus, the course curriculum is comprehensive and interdisciplinary, addressing theoretical aspects and practical skills such as experimentation and computational simulation.
In addition to national and international seminars, the Quantum Biology School will have poster presentation sessions that will be evaluated by a scientific committee. Outstanding works will be awarded at the end of the event.
The course is an excellent opportunity for young people who wish to pursue a professional career in science and for early-career researchers. The dialogue between professionals in physics, biology, and health sciences during various academic moments can open new scientific horizons.
Selected students will have their transportation costs (round trip from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro) and accommodation in a double room covered by the organization. See the complete program and pre-register on the official event website: escolabioquantica.com.br.
