Weizmann-IDOR Pioneer Science Fellowship Program

New Frontiers for Brazilian Scientific Innovation

The Weizmann-IDOR Pioneer Science Fellowship program offers 3 full postdoctoral scholarships for 3 years to qualified researchers at the prestigious Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. The program aims to promote the advanced training of young Brazilian scientists abroad to accelerate the development of innovative science in Brazil.

Areas of Focus: Life and Health Sciences

Examples of areas of interest: immunology, immuno-oncology, oncobiology, transplant medicine, infectious diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, liver diseases, cell and gene therapies, neuropsychiatry, neurodegenerative diseases, neuroplasticity, and cognitive neuroscience, data science. Proposals in other topics within the general areas of Life and Health Sciences are also welcome.

Unique Opportunity

Selected candidates will have the opportunity to receive advanced training at one of the best research centers in the world, ranked by the Nature Index, access to the world-class infrastructure of IDOR and/or its partner laboratories at other Brazilian research institutions, and the possibility of local funding to boost their research and help them maintain productive collaborations at national and international levels.

Acceptance by a WIS Scientist

To apply, you need to seek acceptance from a scientist at the Weizmann Institute whose laboratory you would like to conduct research in. You can search on the WIS website.
